I don't have a partner? Will I need to bring one?
No. The majority of people coming,
come on their own. We cannot guarantee that there will always be a
partner for everyone but because we alternate partners every few
minutes, no one is left standing out for long.

I've never danced before?
No problem! We run a complete beginner's class every
week.

|
Do I need to book?
No you can just turn up. We operate
a pay as you go system.
|
|
|
|
|
What do you wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in as long
as it won't limit your movement.

What about shoes?
We strongly suggest no trainers or thick
rubber soled shoes for safety. There are lots of turns in salsa
and any shoe that grips the floor is likely to put unnecessary pressure
on the ligaments in the ankles and knees. Try and wear shoes with
a smooth leather sole. If you really enjoy dancing and want to buy
proper dance shoes then we can advise you on ballroom shoes and dance trainers.

Where can I buy salsa music?
Most large record shops have a world music
department where you should be able to buy salsa cds.
Alternatively Julian will normally be able to supply you with something
to start your collection!

Where can I dance?
We play music for about an hour after the
last lesson each week so that you can practice the steps you've
learnt. Alternatively ask Julian about the other salsa venues in
Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Every week there are several
to choose from.
